Welcome to the 2023-2024 season! Below is a comprehensive list of scheduling information needed for managers and coaches. This document can also be found under the ice scheduler tab in Sport Engine. Please don’t hesitate to email us with questions ice_scheduler@buffalohockey.net

 2023/24 Ice Rate per hour = $232

• A portion of your team’s ice hours include both Home and Away scrimmages. 

• Home scrimmages are scheduled multiple ways

  •  with solo practice ice that has been distributed to your team. If a scrimmage is scheduled with solo ice time, Please update via the Ice Schedule Request form.

  • If there is a shared practice and one team is wanting to convert to a scrimmage, teams can trade practices and ice. Please verify with other team manager/coach prior to notifying ice scheduler. We will send out a confirmation email to both team managers with the change.

• No home ice available dates
  • PeeWee C Tournament January 15-17
  • Junior Gold Tournament January 18-21                         
  • District 5  tournament February 16-18
  • Junior Gold State Tournament March 15-17
  • There will be NO home ice available in Buffalo for those weekends.            

• Please limit your postings to the website calendar to tournament times only.
  • Please do not make changes on your team calendars to items that are generated from Scheduled information uploads.  If you change an entry entered by one of us, the next time I perform an upload/update to the schedule, your information will disappear or be duplicate on Sports engine.   
  • If a change has been made to the schedule within a week, we will send a courtesy email to the teams involved, notifying you that a change has been made.  You are responsible for notifying your team.
  • We try very hard to make sure sports engine is accurate, but with changes, there is room for error. Please double check the changes for accuracy. We will send an email to you that we have updated sports engine.
  • There have been errors noted in the app when changes have been made. If that is the case, always look on BYHA website, that is correct.  

• AWAY ice times
  • Please notify us of all AWAY ice touches!  It is important we know where your team is playing, should a change in the home ice schedule occur.
  • We will enter all AWAY events into Sports engine’s calendar. It is important we know all away ice as all touches, away & home are tracked and reported to the Board and HOC for the season.
