The Buffalo Youth Hockey Association provides hockey education and development programs for students in School District 877 (Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose) and 876 (Annandale).
The board will be holding a special meeting on Thursday, September 26th at 7:30pm in the Civic Center Board Room.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and finalize BYHA’s Bantam team levels for the 2024-2025 season and hold a vote.
At the September meeting, the board held lengthy discussions regarding our team levels after new developments at the ‘C’ level with other District 5 associations and recently received additional information were presented. Following the discussion, the board passed a vote to established 4 for bantams teams but tabled the vote on team levels to allow for additional due diligence to be performed and presented.
At the special meeting, the board will be deciding whether to host teams at each of the AA, B1, B2, & C levels or to host AA, B1, and two B2 teams. The bulk of the discussion will surround the B2 & C levels and the pros and cons for each option. Please refer to the link below for option details.
The board is open to feedback from Bantam families around the proposed options. If you wish to provide your thoughts, please email the Board President and Vice President at the emails below. We will present the feedback received from families to the rest of the board at the beginning of the meeting.
